The Random Thread of Random Randomness

I remember seeing a fully armoured elephant (not a real one) in a museum in Thailand. It had this enormous primitive gun/cannon that was used to fire at the Burmese during their frequent wars with them. It was a few hundred years old. The gun/cannon thing was about as thick as your arm and about 12 foot long. The original tank in war. Don't know how the poor elephant would have reacted to this enormous mini cannon going off above its head

I'm jealous. I like playing Siege Battles but I couldn't find a castle set like that for a reasonable price.

Yeah... I found a guy on Etsy who does custom work and we worked out the above. Was a bit dear, but it fits all of the requirements I need. Going to play a Helms Deep type scenario? Put in one long line between hills. Small fort attack? Use only a couple of pieces. One side of a fortress? Use it to make a half a city walls.

Please PM who the guy is and how much money you spent on it.

Also, the scenario I was referring to is this which is fairly ideal because it lets you put units on the building pretty easily though I would probably prefer a smaller number of larger pieces. When you are the defending side, quantity beats quality which for us means hundreds of Cohort Skinks.

I PM'ed you, but I'll include the website for anyone else who sees it and is interested.

The guy's name is Steven Woodward and he has actually made the item that I designed into one of his staple items:
