I think I was bamboozled by this very realistic army book.
Shame really, they're a great theoretical army.
Not even close.Phew! So at least they're not barred entry by lore-laws...
I almost winner if the plan is to do all be models for every army for TOW, so they wanted to get the old models off the site. And yes I realize we are still far from it's release, but maybe they were just selling the end of the last production run.
Apparently calls have been made into Forge World and it has been confirmed that the Chaos Dwarfs are being discontinued. I did not make the call myself, so I can't be certain though.on the fw website they classify the sold out chaos dwarves into "temporarily out of stock" and "no longer available" which makes me believe chaos dwarves are not gonna be abandoned entirely.
I almost want to see 10mm models by Forge World.
I really hope GW starts to do some damage control as most of the people in my area have already stopped caring about this future release. On a positive side I've gotten in a few 7th Ed games so not everything is bad.

my actual interest in TOW could be revamped only if GW would confirm the presence of Tomb Kings.
They already did with the Settra meme from when they first confirmed it’s arrival, but given they’ll most likely be Forge World they won’t be worth it![]()
luke82 on EEFL said:I did order a lot of Old World units with my Christmas GW vouchers and they all came with square bases alongside the rounds, the square bases being in a little zip lock sandwich bag. This is expense and effort that I didn’t expect and can only think it means they will be used going into the future.
Interesting TOW news:
One chap over on EEFL recently decided to order some miniatures that were made during the Fantasy era from the GW website, and to his surprise the sets contained not just the AoS round bases, but also a pack of the corresponding square bases, and this happened in the last few weeks. This has got to be a sign that all the remaining surviving Fantasy plastics will be marketed for TOW as well as AoS!
Now you all may automatically assume the answer will be the latter, and I wouldn’t be surprised if GW resorted to the latter, but the reason I still see it as ambiguous is because the fact that GW re-released a load of Finecast Fantasy characters as part of their Made to Order scheme means they obviously didn’t cut up the moulds for the canned Fantasy models immediately after they discontinued them, and instead must have stored them away in some sort of archive (though of course all those models released through the Made to Order scheme have been cut up now).
They also brought back the old 5th edition metal skink command unit with the release of the 8th edition army book. So there's definitely an archive of old moulds, which still does not guarantee that they will bring them back this way.

Yeah, pretty much the former. Can't open most skaven or freeguild kits without realizing that they were pretty lazy with the re-packaging, and overall barely a step up from "yeah, we're just gonna sell you the old Fantasy kits with the square bases only, so you can buy the round bases separately" (this coincidentally was the story with my first 20 clanrats).Nope.
Lots of minis have been coming with both types of bases for years now. My Rat Ogor/Packmaster/Giant Rat boxes (bought over a year ago) all came with both. Blister packs from the Legends line (made to order stuff) from 5 years ago came with both. So did my Fellwater Troggoths (bought last summer). I think they just have some old stock lying around already packaged with both and we're still working through it, or they're just automatically packaged with them.
MIND YOU, I also hope that time proves me wrong!
