This is based on a rumor and logical supposition, but this is an interesting explanation for recent events.

Short version is that Amazon forced GW's recent lore retcon, and GW is trying to bend as slightly as possible. Only the first 11 minutes of this video is about GW.

Also there is a hope that Henry Cavil will save 40K.

Tbh, 40k becoming mainstream will kill it.
There's no place for grimdark if you want to please a generic, large audience.

But the disappointing thing is that they're still bending at all to Amazon. You'd have thought that GW with all their clout and dominance over the wargaming industry would be in the best possible position to stick the middle finger up at Amazon, but if even they are willing to cave then we cannot rely upon any company to fight this enemy for us.

If there was ever a sign that we as consumers should stop supporting Amazon, this is it.

I implore you all to not buy anything off Amazon or support any business that deals exclusively through Amazon. Not only will you be making a statement to support smaller and better businesses, especially those on the high street, but it will also be another act against wokism and the Ferengi turds that support it.

As anyone has followed my political rants knows, I am pretty focused on opposing the CCP. I dislike wokeness, but I hate the CCP and I do not use the word "hate" lightly.

Amazon gets in bed with CCP controlled companies. I have of yet, not sworn off Amazon. I tend to only make an order from them two times a year and I very carefully vet the country of manufacture of anything I buy to make sure it's not made in mainland China (which applies to all my online purchases).

About two months ago. I wanted to give my friends with kids a copy of Mouse Tales, and I could not find said book outside of Amazon. And a bought a few books for myself and a metal water bottle while I was at it.

Admittedly, I am too interested in Amazon's shows to boycott them completely. I watched The Boys season 1 and 2 from my local library's DVD section, and this prompted me to subscribe to Amazon Prime long enough to watch season 3 (because I had no idea how long it would take them to get season 3). And when season 4 hits, I plan to subscribe again. I will also watch Jack Reacher. I will probably watch Invincible. Invincible is the exception that proves the rule. In my opinion, it's a woke show that is not trash. Most of the wokeness is centered in Amber, the least popular character on the show.

Then I will unsubscribe.
