The never-ending battle against woke Hollywood and SJW infused entertainment media [trigger warning]

To play Devil's Advocate. If this is true, it is not necessarily a sign of wokeness.

There are ten? twelve? Fast and Furious franchise movies. At some point the core fan base has got to get bored of the formula and they will try to shake it up with some kind of change. It sort of happened with the Oceans Eleven franchise. I think the all female heist movie scored in the nebulous middle ground where it didn't flop but it didn't do well. I think it broke even and made a tiny profit. In the old days that was considered a failure but now that might be a success.

Just out of high school I had a summer job out in the sticks and the only thing we had to keep occupied was movies, and I got my fill of heist movies with Oceans 11 and The Italian Job. I didn't hate them but I lost my taste for heist movies long before the Oceans franchise withered away and tried an all female cast as a Hail Mary Play.

I never got into car movies. I like action movies that have cool car chases, but I am usually bored by movies built around cars though I guess I did like Death Race, though it also had a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting that I found appealing and it had Natalie Martinez who I also found appealing.

I don't disagree. Odds are that it will be woke simply because that is the current Hollywood climate, but there is no guarantee of it. If we were back in the 80's or 90's I wouldn't even give it a second thought.

Technically though, you are correct... but the meme is funny none the less.

Target would disagree.

Target has long since been dead to me. EVERYTHING there is made in mainland China. I can find a wider variety of good's origins in freaking Wal-Mart (it's not easy but it's possible).

I believe the Target boycott is a direct result of the Anheiser Bush backlash.
A precedent has been set! Companies might just have to re-adjust their practices for fear of significant anti-woke backlash. We haven't seen anything like this (or at least to this scale) before.

This might be the turning point we've been waiting for. I honestly hope that people continue to boycott Anheuser-Bush and Target. It only works if the financial consequences are severe and long lasting.
