Overlord DVD made a good point but rather than post the video, I will pare it down and summarize.

Overlord DVD's Premise: She Hulk is a bad show, but it is not as bad of a show as Obi Wan, the Book of Boba Fett, or Ms. Marvel.

She Hulk has gotten more negative backlash than any of the aforementioned bad shows.

Overlord DVD's Conclusion: We are winning the pop culture war because this proves that all patients with wokeness has been exhausted.


I just thought I'd bring this up for discussion. There are alternate explanations for why She Hulk got a disproportionate negative response.

I think sitcoms in general are becoming less popular. Partially because sitcoms are episodic and most of the most popular shows are binge watchable progressing dramas. It was difficult for binge watchable progressing dramas to become popular in the pre-streaming age.

I also think there are Youtubers that have made a career out of bashing woke shows and they cannot dial back their hatred just because the newest iteration is slightly less crappy than the last one.


But who knows, maybe this is a turning point.


My measure for a victory is not to have a woke garbage show come out to people shouting "This is woke garbage!" at it.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around, does it make a sound? What is a crappy woke show comes out and no one watches and no one complains about it either. That's victory in my opinion.

I believe... yes, or no.
AFAIK, in physics the sound is just a vibration that propagates as wave, through a given medium (usually air). So yes.
But in physiology, sound is the perception of such waves... so there should be a receptor for the wave to have the sound.

(all of this because on Lustria we like to pretend we have serious debates)

Bingo.

Regardless of anybody being around, the sound is still there. The sound contains energy which it imparts on the environment. This occurs whether or not somebody is there to hear it. It's just a function of the universe. We don't need to be there.

Anything else is just a semantic argument.
