This is the kind of stuff that really bugs me with the justice system. Relevant information that required to get at the truth is thrown out on a technicality. This is also the reason why I would make a piss poor juror... I know I wouldn't be able throw out relevant info just because a judge says so. My decision would be influenced.

Perhaps, but the jury was screened so that none of them followed the JD/AH stuff in detail before the trial.

Also, if the ex-gf doesn't get to testify, this means the jurors probably don't get to find out that AH hit her girlfriend.

It's bad enough that male domestic abuse victims are not taken seriously. It also bothers me that woman on woman violence gets swept under the rug by the media and politicians. Their goal isn't to protect women, it's to showcase how bad men are.

In any event, if I was a juror, I would stick to the rules. As it much it bothers me that creeps like AH evade justice, I believe one of the best things Western Civilization created is the presumption that one is innocent until proven guilty. This precept is under attack right now, and I don't want to participate in the eroding of this sacred legal principle, if I know the accused is guilty.

I'm not sure how much of this is Jon Stewart's fault, though I don't think he did himself any favors calling JK Rowling anti-Semitic.

CNN spent an obscene amount amount of money to try to create CNN+ and CNN+ had it's plug pulled less than a month. Clownfish TV has a bunch of entertaining details but they are not necessary.

The CNN+ junior staffers are weeping and gnashing their teeth at losing their jobs but a lot of them are getting six months severance pay for working one month and a lot of them are moving to the front of the line to fill in new CNN jobs. At least for now. David Zaslav (or however you spell his name). He is going to trim a lot of fat from all of Discovery/Warner Brother's subsidiaries and is going to axe anyone who is not making money.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much of this has to do with "Get Woke Go Broke" because no talky talky news show has managed to do well on any streaming platform regardless of what political take they have. Stream services have done okay with television shows, movies, and sports, at least on some things. Once in a while a show or movie stands out like a flower growing out of a pot of dirt, but not one talky talky news show has done well in the age of streaming

I'm half-tempted to buy some Warner Brothers stock. I think there is a good chance Zaslav will get WB back on track. Granted, a ship this big will take the better part of ten years to correct course, but I don't ten years or so is about when I want to cash today's investments out.

I think it is entirely his fault. Nobody forced him to do the show. He has more than enough money, he simply could have said no. He was one of the people who I liked on the left, shame to see him go bat-shit crazy woke.
 

In the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic series by DC, I thought it was interesting they made a plot point of Black Canary getting pregnant. At the time Black Canary was hiding Harley Quinn (because they figured Superman would kill Harley). Harley volunteered to take Canary's place in battle because she insisted Canary shouldn't go into battle pregnant. This is essentially what started Harley's redemption arc in this universe.

I have yet to watch the animated movie based on the comic series. I'm afraid. The Killing Joke was a great comic book but a really bad animated movie. It had nothing to do with wokeness, the director/writer/producer just dropped the ball.

If you seriously want to have a reasoned debate with a SJW rather than have a shouting match or meme war, I would recommend using this video as a baseline.


The follow-up would be that Marxist governments always lead to suffering and that this suffering usually disproportionally falls on to ethnic minorities, religious minorities, LGBT people, women, and the working class.

It makes little sense that a neo-Marxist government would improve things for these groups.
