The never-ending battle against woke Hollywood and SJW infused entertainment media [trigger warning]

I know these aren't as big deal, but there were side trips to Dr. Who, 007, Men in Black, Thundercats, Masters of the Universe, and the Powerpuff Girls along with a few others.

Dr Who was a particularly painful one for me.

I have not watched the latest Bond film as I got disillusioned several movies ago, but a friend told me that the wokeness is epic.

What did they do to the Thundercats and Powerfpuff Girls? I have never followed the Powerpuff Girls and the last time I followed the Thundercats was in the enjoyable 2011 adaptation. I was not aware that both of these franchises had gone woke.

Thundercats Roar was basically a literal insult to the original fans.

The CW was planning a live action show with adult Power Puff Girls and the first production stills of the costumes and special effects were widely lambasted.

Then a script for the pilot episode leaked. The network said the script was a fake but then tried to strike it down.

The script was so bad, that if a skilled writer deliberately tried to make a woke parody of the Power Puff Girls, they couldn't make it as cringe as it turned out to be.

The show got torn apart on the Internet, so show lead, the lady playing Blossom (Chloe Bennet, who played Skye on Agents of Shield and is the only actor with an ounce of name recognition on this show), quit the show after filming the pilot episode walking away from the project. She saw which way the wind was blowing and realized her career would not survive being tied to this dumpster fire.

Now CW is trying to sell the entire network. I think the Powerpuff Girls show is suspended. The pilot episode is done though. It might be a good laugh, but I don't think showing it would help CW sell their network.

Clownfish TV saw this coming and predicted this over a month ago. They know how Disney works and saw Disney doing damage control to slow down genuine critiques of the crappy hotel.

They also used to be theme park reviewers and they saw in advance in how Disney was cutting corners and raising prices like crazy. It's bad but I don't think wokeness has much to do with this.

Though I suppose it shows Disney leadership are all hypocrites because they are changing their marketing plan to cater to the rich elites.

Probably because all they care about is money and they have no inherent position other than "whatever is going to get me the most money."

Feels like it always comes back to money eventually /shrug.

well, the hypocrite part comes when they justify it with noble reasons.
thinking on it, it's the same for certain wars, which are 100% waged for humanitarian reasons when they involve countries that happen to be oil producers.

Yeah I guess I just look at it as more blatantly lying instead of hypocritical but I hear you.

I declare this to be the theme song of 2022, at least for me personally if not for everyone.

Things seem slightly less bad. Pop culture is just one of the things that seems less bad now.
