The Dread Saurian is one of the more overpowered things in the game, it can easily solo entire armies unless they have a counter for it due to its ethereal rule. For this reason, a fella at my local shop who is getting one has been explicitly banned from giving it the ethereal rule, and for good reason, it's too broken with that. I wouldn't say that it's a good answer to the End Times characters like Super-Franz or Malekith either because although we didn't get a new character like other armies, the basic Slann turned into a serious beast with Khaine magic to the point where I don't like to play End Times magic rules because it's too overpowered, I only use Khaine rules when my opponent wants to, or when my opponent is bringing an End Times character so I'm not at a disadvantage. Personally, I don't like it for the same reason why I don't like the Toad Dragon, it's too powerful for that points cost, and our Slann are already viable answers to the End Times characters.
