So, I just wanna say that Frenzy & Hatred on TG w/ a Trog's Primeval Roar is INSANE.

I think my Slann just traded his Palanquin in for a Stegadon-sized lawnmower! xD

ok, look:

8 frontage = 33 attacks (assuming champ is present).

All math aside (I actually rolled), I just scored 38 hits on 4+. My friend did the math during this experiment, and found the average roll at 46 hits.

Is this right?

That's rolling regular attacks, rerolling for Hatred, rolling PF on 5's, rerolling for Hatred.

If so... Yay!!

He worked out that this could kill 25 Chaos Warriors (not counting a Mark of Nurgle, mind you). In one round. o_o

Having a lot of fun imagining an Oldblood or Scar Vet riding a Cold One in this unit... O_O coyld this guy kill nagash?!

Foolhardiness + Fencer's Blades + Savage Beast of Horros... 10 or 11 attacks, rerolled misses, 5+ PF generates extra attacks, rerolling those misses, hitting most things on 3s..?!

ive tried it, skavenpelt with TG is nice as H.
Its even better if you combine it with the razor standard.

There are ways to work around that.
Especially with flyers and skirmishers

Did TG/slann+Skavenpelt banner against my pal whos running skaven.

First game i just annihilated him.
Second game on a later date I was redirected to oblivion and lost.

The unit would do 10,8 wounds against Chaos warriors, assuming all can hit. That's a lot of points for something I'd consider an "alright" combat potential. Also TGs will be hitting after the warriors and this isn't assuming nurgle mark or shields.

Yeah that's a lot of points for very little comparative damage output. You are looking at at least a 1000 point unit with M4. Compare that to Epidemus and Plague bearers for survivability, Grave Guard with a Tomb King and Necrotech or White Lions and BoTWD for pure damage or Warlocks for mobility and it lacks in all departments that really matter.

When it comes down to it, a deathstar with M4 is bound to fail. Even with Walk between worlds as an optional buff.

We're actually in the 1150+pts range so almost half your points into a single unit. Now imagine those chaos warriors have nurgle mark and halbard. Well do roughly 7 wounds and take 6.5 wounds. So a single unit of nurgle warriors can remove about 13 of our models before they're either inefficient or breaks. Still though, we might as well take a chariot to the face and it's basically GG WP.

Now try and compare our deathstar vs white lions who are quite a lot cheaper than nurgle warriors. Their banner isn't even needed and they'll do considerable damage to us for even less points.

Ahh it was too good to be true! Shame it's not simply 'Hatred.'

Without the rerolls, yeah, not very great for the points. With the rerolls, it's pretty intense!

I haven't played with the Hatred rule before - I thought that having any form of Hatred gave you rerolls, but then did something additional to the corresponding race.
