8th Ed. Tactics Against High Elves?

Hi,

I have never played against high elves before and i was wondering what units would gobest against them. Were playing 2500p so its a fair sized game. Any help appreciated.

watch out for their shooting and their magic. our core is better, but their special and elite infantry will mop up anything we have. bring salamanders to cut huge swathes of their units down. terradons I've found to be effect war machine hunters, because bolt throwers are gonna be very prevalent since they can bring 4 of them and getting camos back there is gonna be tough. stomps and rocks are great and the BS will have more trouble hitting thanks to skirmish.

try to have effective screens with your chaff units. skrox units are nice for the M6 and the skinks can actually do wounds.
