my gf is making a sylvaneth army from the starter box. Have a few questions on it because it's really unclear on how the army is supposed to go together. How many branch nymphs should be made and why? The box shows just one on the front, but there's enough to make 4?

Should have a branchwych, treelord, And 16 dryads if it's the Sylvaneth start collecting box.

BOWSER YOURE MY HERO. The booklet has something that says "branch nymph" that's separate from dryads and the difference is branch nymphs attack 3 times instead of 2. It;s a lead unit, how many does she need to make? She's at a stand still ATM and is getting frustrated.

Also there's ram looking heads, are those for the dryads or just decoration? The sylvaneth directions for the models is really unhelpful

I guess I just need to know how many branch nymphs need to be made for the start collecting set

See the ram skulls on the top right? Are those dryad heads or just decoration?

Ranch Nymph is like the alpha of the dryads.
Dryads come in units of 10, so if you guys are playing straight from the box, and she wants to take 2 units of 8 I would make two as the Nymph.
I believe the skulls are just decorative to add some variety to the unit.

So she should only make 2? Someone said its units of 5 so she should make 3 and have an extra nymph left over?

Absolutely, can't hurt to have more.
But she can make up to 4 with the starter set and if she makes 4 then she would only have 12 dryads and 4 nymphs. She'd only playing with what's out of the box so should she make just 2 or 3? Or all 4? I mean if we were to play with just her box set she would only use 3 max right? That's what she's trying to figure out. She just wants to make this box set and play

She's deciding to make all 4 and if she can't use 4 she'll just name whatever's extra dryads

All that matters is that the opponent knows which one is the Nymph in the unit. So making all 4 just differentiate them, maybe make 2 with the ram skulls and two without. That way you could put one without in a unit and say the one with the ram is the nymph.

Another point is that there is a minimum number of models in a unit. (Can be as low as 1 for characters).
For instance, a unit of Saurus Knights has to have at least 5 models.
So it might not be possible to field a unit of four Dryads.

Yeah I think it's 5 for dryads as well, which would mean 3 but I think she's gonna just make 4 and call whatever she needs dryad due to her paint scheme needing one for each of the 4 ways she's painting
