AoS Summoning - Can you summon a unit of 20 skinks?

Hi,

The question is more or less in the title:

Let's say you have 18 conjuration points.

Can you summon one unit of 30 skinks, or 'only' 3 units of 10?

Number of models in everey summoning unit is fixed, so no, you can summon only 3 units of 10 skinks, but not one of 30. Only exception is Engine of Gods which gives you a unit of 20 skinks.

Yeah unfortunately that doesn't work.
I'd like to be able to summon 40 Skinks. Just so my opponent doesn't know what I will do when I start hoarding points.

The summoning mechanic has been introduced by the general's handbook 2018

Basically, we can summon units for "free" with a Slann on the battlefield.
a Slann can cast normally up to 3 spells each turn.
if you forego to cast a spell, you gain 3 conjuration points. Obviously, if you forego all 3 spells, you accumulate 9 conjuration points... 10 if the Slann is the general.
These points can be increased by other things (Astrolith bearer, endless spells and so on).
For example:
with 6 points you can summon 10 skinks,
with 12 points you can summon 3 ripperdactyls,
with 24 points you can summon a Oldblood on Carnosaur

Yeah, on paper it seems you sacrifice a lot, as spells are really important… but:

1) actually (with the increased range for unbind attempts and items that negate casting) it's harder to cast spells, so in the end you will cast only the ones that really matter.
2) the ability to bring on the table the unit you need in that precise moment, in the place it serves you better, it's huge. It gives a fantastic, tactical flexibility that is actually one of our main advantages.

I usually cast 1 spell a turn (usually Summon Starlight or my endless spell if i have one) and then forgo the other 2 for summoning points. Let's you snag a unit of 10 skinks every turn, with the potential to hold onto them and get something a little beefier if needed.
