I am considering the Stegadon Crest over her chest actually! May use the Carnosaur Reins I have to connect it around the neck to the howdah/neck armor
 
Here is my current progress on my Sunblood proxy! Very happy with the progress even though some of the original markings have been lost a bit. Headdress is looking super good, love the feathers, though may work on the yellow. Still need to finish it and add the shield to him.

Current progress on my Sunblood:

Got the Redwood color for the banner poles down with enough of a red hint, originally just Khorne Red mixed with Mournfang Brown I ended up adding a splash of Reikland Flesh to the mix and it really helped I think.

I also decided to do two freehand designs on the banners, one represents a blood Moon eclipsing a full moon and the other has their Serpent Goddess coming out from behind a Blood Moon.

First real attempt at freehand and I think its OK but could be better. Need to thin the paints a bit more and more controlled strokes I think.

Any insight into freehand would be amazing or any general C&C is encouraged! Thanks

Update on my Sunblood proxy :)

Have done most of the banners and have done the weapons, though they need to be cleaned up and have a wash put on them.

Really pleased with it and its direction, going for the old world Aztec feel.

Taking a small break from other projects to start this gorgeous model! Although not the original color scheme I had planned I am very pleased with the Green and Orange base colors. I need to go back over the orange but feeling good so far

Base colors: Caliban Green and Jakaero Orange

Other colors planned:

Top: Moot Green, Sotek Green and Biel-Tan Green

Bottom: Fire Dragon Bright, Kindlerflame and Cassandora Yellow/Fuegan Orange

Wings/feathers: Undecided but looking at combining Reds, Purples, Blues and Pinks to make them vibrant

That's really nice. When I was painting my Saurus green, I then found out later that the complimentry colour for green was either yellow or orange.

But I didn't want to take risk.

I really like this, because the colours work well together and its not over whelming in anyway. A lot of the time, people go for too many base colours and it becomes confusing to the eye.

Lots more color to be add, but the green and orange sections will just be different shades of green for the designs, etc same with the orange. The wings will be a multiple color scheme but all complimentary to Green and Orange

Update on the Coatl/Moon Serpent:

I'm taking a break from from the body work to start on the wings, which I'm really happy with! Mostly, lol. Trying to make them brighter and more vibrant, worked in some shading in the feathers crevasses and need to go back to do highlighting and dry brushing.

Pretty sure it's a rock with a skull next to it/connected to it that he stands on, I was a bit confused myself at first lol

And thanks! I love the color on him, blood moon inspired
 
Finally working on my Side Platforms for my Thunder Lizard :) Going a slightly different direction but keep the original theme

This time around I am going to make the central skull/circle into a sun of sorts with wide beams of light coming out from it. Where there are thin lines of yellow in the central one, the wider open portions that empty where the saurus head icons are will be the beams of light...if that makes sense.

Update :)

The more I paint this the more I love it, it's like the platform is telling the story of a past battle. The central face being a Slann and the rays coming out from it his summon powers as he summons more warriors to battle (the saurus face icon). Its a tribute to my tribes ancestors before they created a home in the mortal realms themselves, when they were once Starborne.
