The following is a hypothetical idea, and if you want to implement it you should probably talk to your TO, store manager, and opponent. The idea goes as follows; instead of using the regular saurus knights warscrolls we use the dark elf drake spawn warscrolls. The two are very similar in overall stats with the on,y real difference being in saves. The actual change is not dramatic and would give us functional battleline

Still better than saurus knights, and in a firelance they could be useful. At this point anything is a step up from saurus knights

granted but im not arguing with my store to use drakespawn. i know it sucks that we are the only ones left out of cities and we don't have a book in site but subing in other units isn't a solution. if i wanted to play drakes i would just play cities,
 
I think it could be a decent play group rule. We use to take 10-20 off the point cost of Bonesplitta units in friendly games. Just because they were in such a bad spot a year ago.

Here is another thought, would it just be better to take 10 saurus knights instead? It offers more attacks and mortal wound as well as more bodies to chew through

i think reducing points by 10-15 could be something your group agrees to.

I’ve found any more than 5 to be cumbersome in most of my games. The poor buggers are just massively outdated. Even in a Firelance they’re not the best. Although they’ve surprised me once or twice but that was largely due to luck! :D

Looking forward to some news on our inevitable update, in the mean time I’m still enjoying my lizardfolk and getting them all rebased from Fantasy and giving them a new fresh look!
