7th Ed. Stegadon warning

I got my steggie and assembled it on Sat, I was going to magnatize it but found that the engine and giant bow holder both held well on their own. The blowpipes were too small so I had to pin them and the skinks were also too small and had to be pinned. I left off the back banners as I have a habit of breaking them and cut down the spots they attached to and just did two skinks holding banners. I do not have the fancy half arch for a skink hero as I assembled the engine but I left the center open for either a) the engine b) a skink hero c) a regular skink. I can now assemble all three variants. I wanted the anchient head and decided not to make it swappable as it is much cooler then the other one. I also think I am going to make two half moulds of the second one and use it to decorate some of my terrain.

Only trouble spot I found is I got a slight crack on the brestbone area that I was lazy on and just extra glued.

In an official tourney do you have to have assembled the model the way it is going to be used? or can one variant count as the other? ex: Can an EotG be used as a skink chief riding a stegadon?

If wysiwyg is a must then you need the correct model, like at a gt. If wysiwyg is rated like painting then you can proxy.

Let me try...

If "what you see is what you get" is a must, then you need the correct model, like at a GT. If "what you see is what you get" is rated like painting, then you can proxy.

i.e. Grand Tours - use the correct model/build. If you're doing a casual tournament where other players rate your painting... you'll get penalized for not having the model, but it won't disqualify you.

Protip: usually in tournaments where they rate you, if you have good sportsmanship, and you're really cool, they don't even care what you proxy, they'll give you points for your army.

i need to figure out myself how to make the weapons interchangeable

Well the engine sits nicely with its chair by itself.

The giant bow and the giant shield crest thng both sit by themselves nice and tight

All that leaves is the blowpipes, I just pinned them with deep pins and left the stegadons side unglues, all it leaves is two small holes.

the steg goes together fine, im on my 3rd and final one and the only green stuff i have used it for Extra detail on the howda

im on my second steg, which was a awefull one. still need to buy me some greenstuff though for this steggie.

my conclusion is that the steggies are quite different each other from quality.

i bought one... and it fit together perfectly... minor gapping underneath but no one can really look at the belly anyways

Assembeled my Engien of the God last night and every piece did fit perfectly, though the manual was a bit unclear at some points... IMO they should have made it more spesific how to make an Engien, a chief mont, regular and an ancient. No problem though, it was great fun to work on it

I had to put some green stuff on his mouth. Also, his neck ended up looking kind of bad so I had to use some more green stuff there.

you sure you used the shoulder part? cos i acidentally glued the head onto the body without realising it

I just bought a "few" of the new steggy models and had no fit issues at all. There were absolutely NO gaps anywhere. I think the new steggy's are fantastic by the way...

A great new model with no fit problems or gaps between pieces. I already have glued three of those.
