7th Ed. Stegadon Deployment

Sine the howda weapons are considered war machines are the stegs themselves deployed at the same time following the rules for war machine deployment or do they follow the normal rules for unit deployment?

The model is still a monstrous mount. The FAQ says to treat the "Stegadon weapons" as warmachines. After all, if the Stegadon model was considered a warmachine, it couldnt even move. So you place it as a normal unit.

Interesting question though.

Mmm I agree, interesting question and I can certainly see where you are coming from. I also agree that the whole model isn't really counted as a warmachine, it should be deployed with the army.
