Nothing like running on slippery rocks with your eyes closed and a lit light saber to increase your force sensitivity.
(well it's either that or death.)
 
Rey should really put that lightsaber on her staff. Would be much more awesome IMO since she can already handle that staff really well.

Long-handled lightsabers are already a thing so you never know, it might happen...
 
Darth Plagueis had a lightsaber staff IIRC.

Didn't you put that on the Star Wars vs Star Trek post as well? I'm sure Captain Picard posted a picture of himself doing a facepalm to that.

Yeah, they could also call them Lightsaber Naginatas if they wish. It would be something different (we haven't seen any in movies AFAIK) and cool for Rey to use. :)
 
....I still think they should give her a lightsaber-naginata since she is obviously very good with her signature weapon, the staff.
 
Well I guess they kept Leia in the move... :'(
