One of my biggest problems with Star Wars episode 3 was drastic tonal shifts. I didn't like the swift transition between Anakin Duku's hands off and brutally executing him immediately juxtraposed with R2D2 taking out battle droids with an oil slick in a very slap stick staged way.

You can have very light stuff and very dark stuff in the same movie, but you have to have something in between that is emotionally in between.

And speaking of jarring tonal shifts...
