I think he is absolutely spot on with all of his points.
 
If Admiral Holdo was flying this, I would like her character more.


But noooo, Kathleen Kennedy had to throw out Star Wars Expanded Universe and the hack writers she hired cannot see how the good guys can be anything other than scrappy underdogs.

It reminds me of the Star Trek Defiant class ships. Aesthetically pleasing but not unnecessary thrills. If it's not weapons, shields, or engines, it doesn't belong on the ship. Death in a compact package. I hear X-Wing and TIE Fighter are being revamped but I doubt there are going to be new ships or new missions, but still, I would love to fly my X-Wing out one of these.

That would have been great, to have both sides using new and unique Star Destroyer variants. A proper capital ship battle. Much better than the OT remake stuff they actually came up with for the Resistance New Republic (get the name right Disney).

However, simply changing the ship she commands doesn’t improve her character in any way. Apart from her Canon-breaking suicide manoeuvre she brings very little to the franchise.
