@Killer Angel and @Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl, I know I'm in the minority, but I never minded Ewoks. Naturally, I think most of this goes back to seeing the OT movies in my youth. Watching Return as an adult, I realize that Ewoks winning against stormtroopers does stretch credulity.

…..

Gungans on the other hand I don't like, and I'm sure it IS because I'm not a fan of JarJar. Plus, it's also likely due to seeing the PT as an adult, with my own opinions about what the Star Wars universe should be like.

I'm 50, so that's pretty much my story. When i saw RotJ i loved it, even if my mind recognized the "absurdity" of Ewoks. Now to me the parts of RotJ that involve ewoks are almost embarassing to watch.
When i saw phantom menace, i was deeply irked by jarjar… but when i saw what the "real" gungans were, i thought "well, i could live with that".

This is going to sound so goofy, but I think the story of Tai Lung (from Kung Fu Panda) is a strong (maybe stronger?) model for what the fall of Anakin could have been. Obviously, there are some similarities in the story already.

But, Anakin being trained by Obi-wan as "The Chosen One" (since Lucas introduced that concept), only to be denied by the council (or maybe just Master Yoda), could really push Anakin over the edge. Anakin feels he's entitled to his status and will take any path to ensure his ascension, even choosing the "quick and easy path" of the Dark Side. "When I left you I was but the learner. Now, *I* am the master."

oh, nice one indeed.

I'm with @Killer Angel and @Just A Skink in the respect that, as a kid, RotJ was quite literally my favorite movie. We would watch it every Christmas minimally and I loved the fact that the "little teddy bears" won against the storm troopers.

It always seemed like the entire clan of Ewoks against a small platoon of storm troopers so made it seem a little more believable (plus the Rebel Alliance fighters).

I loved the Gungans theme of creatures living naturally but with advanced technology. However, I hated Jar Jar so much that he ruined the entire race for me by association.

Greg Weisman is my favorite creative. His idea for Gargoyles is my thoughts on Gargoyles. This is extremely unlikely that season 3 would be remade. But if this was done...this could set a precedent. We could see a Star Wars episode 7 through 9 based on the EU novels. The good ones anyway. As much as I like the Thrawn Thrilogy I think we can start with Truce at Bakura which takes place a few days after Return of the Jedi. Giant time skips are not a good idea. I think watching Kylo Ren take over the New Republic would have been a more entertaining story arc than what was given.

Yeah, you'd have to recast Han and Luke and certainly Leia, but I'd be okay with this.

Nah, Disney wouldn’t have that because it’s not SJW-friendly enough ;)

That would have been good, especially if Luke had been at the head of an army of New Jedi Order Knights. I’d have liked to see that.

I can imagine many people who wouldn’t though. Look what happened with recasting Han in Solo

Looks like the wife is significantly more intelligent than the husband...

One site selling Star Wars figures actually had an offer to buy a ‘bunch of Roses’ for Valentine’s Day and you got a load of Rose Tico figures if you were gullible enough to buy into that offer, because they were selling so dreadfully. To this day I’ve still seen Rose figures peg-warming on shop shelves.

For all Jar Jar’s flaws, at least his merchandise does sell, so Jar Jar > Rose

I aim to entertain :D

I have always been surprised at myself for why I liked the Falcon so much. I mean, apparently it's fast, but it's construction is a bit odd (particularly the command deck being a little fragile off-shoot at the side (Why?!?!) and it doesn't have much in terms of armanents...

I have always, deeply loved the X-Wing fighters, especially the moment when their wings spilt in two to go into "attack mode" or whatever they call it, but the Falcon... I don't know.

I also consider the fact that it flew into the depths of the Death Star a bit much considering it's size, the speed it was going at and the amount of obstacles on the way in...
