It’s probably not worth having another discussion about it as it will probably end up going bad again,

To be honest, as long as one of @NIGHTBRINGER or @Aginor doesn't get involved, all should be well :D

If nothing else, I think we can definitely all agree that John Williams most certainly hasn’t lost his touch!

I actually disagree with this personally - I have some favourite pieces from John Williams' soundtracks all the way from Episodes 1-6, but I personally felt VII and VIII had no particular standout tracks.

However, that doesn't stop others from feeling differently :)

Interesting that in the trailer it looks as though the ruins of the Death Star are of the first Death Star that orbited Yavin 4 in the final battle, as what looks like the Tantive IV (presumably all part of Abrams' OT purist plot) seems to take off from the same location, and it never went to Endor. I'm pretty pleased about this actually as I was concerned that if the heroes returned to Endor, we would be witness to the Ewoks again - at least that's one crisis averted

However, apart from seeing the legend that is Ian McDiarmid return to tie everything together and possibly what could end up as C-3PO either dying or turning evil for some reason (I'm thinking it might be some sort of disguise), I'm not holding out that much hope for it. I'm still going to see it, but I fear that Abrams is continuing with his OT fanboy plot started in the Farce Awakens rather than pulling something genuinely new out of his hat.

I’m sorry, but personally that theme doesn’t grab my attention too much, especially when compared to some of the character themes from Episodes I-VI.

As I mentioned previously, personally I just don't think VII and VIII have any particularly good tracks. Even Episode V, which as you know I complain quite a lot about, I admit still has a couple of very good tracks (Imperial March and the Asteroid Field), but VII and VIII were honestly subpar to me both as films and in terms of soundtrack.
