Certainly an interesting take on it. I especially like the fact that someone actually chose a Guy who Dies First as a useful Guy who Dies First who contributes to help the team on his death rather than someone who just deserves to die first.
Here's a Star Trek one

And my explanation:
Captain Picard: Arguably the best captain when it comes to organising, remaining level-headed and being a tactician. 'Nuff said.
Worf: Certainly the strongest fighter in both TNG (except Data) and DS9, surely a fearsome brawler indeed.
Garak: Cunning, sneaky and resourceful, Garak is an excellent saboteur, assassin and all-round handy man when it comes to killing enemies. I'll just have to make sure he's not in any confined spaces...
Data: Not just the strongest member of the TNG crew, he also an incredibly intelligent Android and surely the best candidate for all round brains. Furthermore, he won't be infected by Zombie bites as he's an Android.
The Doctor: One of the best Doctors in all of Trek alongside Julian Bashir, he's also a Hologram, so again he won't be infected by Zombie bites.
Q: Although he's pretty lazy, I chose Q as my speed fighter in that he could just zap all the zombies away with a click of his fingers - you can't get any faster than that.
Neelix: Although he's not the most popular Trek character, I just felt Neelix would be great as the mascot because he is pretty amusing, although he makes food almost as bad as Chief O'Brien's combat rations.
Wesley: Just as
@NIGHTBRINGER can't stand Jar Jar, I can't stand Wesley, but for a different reason. While Jar Jar is one of the least intelligent characters around, Wesley, despite being a 15-year old kid, is one of the most, and he certainly likes everyone to know it. Certainly the one character who definitely deserves to die horribly.
