That said, while the name is stupid, their lore is not and I would not mind seeing more of them in a well written Star Trek series. I'd love to see a Caitian security officer leap at enemies.

EDIT: Now that I think about it. Han Solo had a tendency to bump into cat people in the EU novels. Before he met Chewie he had a Togarian hired muscle with him on his first smuggling job. Later in the Correllian Trilogy, he got stranded with a Selonian. Both are pretty feline like.
