According to canon, Anakin Skywalker built C3PO, so that would in a way, make Anakin his father too.
That being said. I think Anakin building C3PO is in the top five of my least favorite things from the prequel trilogy.

Yep, that was really irksome but i tend to forget it.
There are worse offenders imo
without even thinking too much:
- the midichlorian introduction
- the way Darth Maul was killed
- the cringy love story Anakin-Padme (I hate sand)
- let's leave Anakin's mother enslaved for 2 decades. She'll be fine.
- the justification for Padme's death.
