What kind of horseshit is this?!?!

I know there are people on here that don't like it when someone claims that someone else is not a "real fan", but sometimes it is simply too obvious to ignore or stay silent on. A real Star Wars fan did not create this list. There are so many problems with but I'll just list a couple
  • In what world are Luke and Yoda not in the very top tier, and how are they below the likes of Ahsoka and Leia (both characters that I personally like mind you)?
  • How is Mace Windu in the $2 category with the likes of Qi'ra, Ezra and Padme? How in a bantha's rectum does Finn cost more than Mace? How can you even compare those two? Finn did nothing other than scream Rey for a trilogy of movies. Mace has to be either a $4 or $5 choice.
  • Solo > Jyn Erso (or Finn or most of the $3 tier)
  • putting Rex and R2 in the same tier as Jar Jar seems like a slap in the face

*rant over*

So I present you with two proposed options:
  1. the boring route - complete your squad for $15 as laid out in the the picture (p.s. Windu is an absolute steal for $2)
  2. the more interesting route - rearrange the characters across the tiers so that they make sense. You can't add or subtract anybody, so you're stuck with the 25 characters presented. But feel free to shuffle any number of them around as much as you wish to create a decent list. (bonus points - propose a purpose for which the user is building their squad)

Any takers?

Ha! Nothing like a good quality Nightbringer-rant.

So we have two possibilities:

1) Someone not totally familiar with the characters made the tier,

Or

2) Another agent of Chaos made the list knowing that they would generate such fan rants ;)

-

I feel very underqualified to do the rearrangements. I like Star Wars but I know that I am not familiar enough with all the Lore to do the reconstruction justice.

What I would do as my picks would be:

Luke, Qui-Gon and Mace ($10). Three Jedi Masters as part of my team!???!!! Hell yeah!

The Mandalorian and Boba Fett ($5) heavily armoured, long and short range fire power. Plus I get to have BOTH Mandalorians?!?!?!!!!??? Double hell yeah!!!!!!

I'd love to have that team. I've got three excellent close combat troops which double as three heavy lifters with all the force power available and I've got my firepower covered (hopefully both of them get that super OP long-range rifle).

Yeah that’s a crap chart. Where do I start?

Ahsoka and Leia should not be in the $5 rank. That’s reserved for the most powerful Jedi/Sith ever. Yoda and Luke should take their places.

In the $4 rank it should be Kylo, Mace, Qui-Gon (who stays where he is), and I think Rex should go here too (he’s a highly experienced Clone Trooper commander, with a jetpack and unswerving faith in the Republic). As much as I would like to put the Mandalorian down a tier because I haven’t seen the series, he does wear Beskar armour and if he’s half as good as Jango (who should be up there but isn’t) he’ll be a decent opponent for a Jedi. I’ll leave him where he is.

$3 should be where the majority of gunfighters rank. Han should be there, Padme’s got good combat experIence from being in the frontlines of Episodes I and II, and Bo-Katan can stay where she is. I’ll leave Ahsoka there as well as she’s average in terms of Jedi power. Jyn may be a less important character than Leia, but she has more combat experience having been serving with Saw’s partisans since she was 8, was living as a fugitive until her capture by the Rebels and served as a spy until her death, so I’m giving Jyn the last spot here.

$2 is for the less well-known and less skilled characters. Rat-face Ezra is just a kid with a lightsaber, Sabine is an uncivilised graffiti artist who somehow finds the Darksaber, Qi’ra has no particular talents other than deceit, Finn was a wasted character and Leia has little combat experience.

$1 rank is for all the characters who can’t really fight and/or are just there as comic relief or for some other plot device that’s not part of the main story. Jar Jar, R2 and Baby Yoda are fine for this, Boba is pathetic in V and VI as he definitely can’t fight and in a way he counts as comic relief in these movies, and I have no idea where that Chinese girl second from left in the $3 rank in the original chart is (is she Rose with a short haircut or is she from the Mandalorian?) Either way, she can go here too.

Yep, makes far more sense.

Here is my setup:

I wouldn't say it is 100% set in stone, a few of the characters could move up or down a tier depending on the scenario, setting and the purpose of the squad.

I may do a bit of a breakdown later, but that is enough for tonight.
