Blog Spirixa is painting his first army

Okay so continuing to share some pictures of my paintjobs here.
I've completed my albino sunblood. Painted shield and highlighted the gold parts. Based too.
Pretty happy with how it came out. Especially that it's my first painted lizardman.
With all my models I have an issue with paint coming off on the sharp edges. So i varnished him with like 3 coats of matte varnish. Hope it helps!

So a small update.
Been trying to paint my troglodon and a skink starpriest. The thing I really cant decide is whether I paint the spots red inside or green-blue.
All the pics are pretty much deep WIP so yeah just sharing

My troglodon fell on the floor and his tongue and part of the tail came off. Had to glue the tail and reprime the tongue cuz the bits of undercoat fell off

I like the red!! Perhaps match with a bright red-orange-yellow frill would be nice!!

Sorry about the drop idk if you primed it yet or not but you probably don’t need to paint will still stick to it ( if you are priming by hand by all mean prime it, yet it didn’t stick the first time?!? Perhaps the primer isn’t good?! Idk) what primer are you using?

Thank you! Dunno it was a white cheap primer. It's the first time using it and it tends not to stick well unfortuantely.

Quick update: now only converting and building and scraping off moldlines but managed to paint the skin and base of these two guys.
Also been really struggling with glueing kroak on the stick to his base. Now on both sides of the stick I have very strong magnets. Got one under the thone and one on the base. I'll post the pics later
