Well while that is correct, spirit of the forge HAS a given strenght. It has a strenght value which depends on the enemy armor. Spells that doesnt have a given strenght are spells like the Death spell Steal Soul (target looses 1 wound, you gain 1 wound) or the Nurgle spell Magnificent Buboes (enemy model takes a wound). It is only immune to spells that damages the tank without using a Strenght value, which Spirit of the Forge does.

Couldn't you still cast Steal Soul on the Stank regardless of whether it damages it in order to utilise the wound gained regardless? The FAQ states that even if the attack is saved via regen or ward save you still gain a wound, so I assume that you'll gain a wound just because the spell goes off...

the only situation where it would be useful is if the stank is the only model within range of the wizard and he really needs to heal himself![]()
