AoS SOLVED: Assembly - Skinks

Hey guys,

I was hoping any of you could help me out.
I picked up a whole bunch of Seraphon after they re-packaged them with AoS.
I'm currently assembling my Skinks, outfitting them with Boltsplitters and shields.

However, it seems that in a box of Skinks, there are 24 Skinks bodies, while only 20 arms with a Boltsplitter.
Am I missing something (probably, yes, but what?)? Do I have to make every 1 out of 6 Skinks a Skink Alpha?

Your help would be very much appreciated!

P.S. I was unsure which forum to put this under! But since it's about the AoS packaging, I thought his was the most appropriate place. Please move it accordingly if necessary! :-)
 
You did not miss something.
You have to build some Skinks with other weapons.

If you mean by Alpha the model with the high comb, then yes. But if you distinguish them by painting schemes then it works totally fine that some "normal" Skinks have some high combs.
 
As long as the majority of the skinks have boltspitters and shield the whole unit is classed as having them equipped.

I like my models to have unity where it can, so I ordered some blowpipes on ebay
 
This is somewhat related, i don’t seem to have enough shields to outfit the whole unit is that normal?

Yeah I’ve looked through the box further and I don’t seem to have enough right arms to finish the unit either, sorry I’m awfully confused.

As for the Boltspitters:
Just cut off the tips from some spears to make them the same length and paint them like a boltspitter.

There should be enough shields in the box for every Skink.

If not: call your GW store and tell them. But then they are rather easy to build from greenstuff or so.
 
There should be something like 25-ish shields in it. Though you can also use some of the shields from the various stegadon kits.

At least it's not as bad as some other kits, so far most 40K kits I've bought either flat out didn't have the special weapons, or they don't have enough of em...
