8th Ed. So.. about the FAQ...?

April last year was the last update. Should be expect GW to finally (FINALLY!) updaste our book? It would be sweet to get some clarification on some of the matters we've discussed on the forum.

How doe GW generally do updates? I remember people saying they would do it every half year, but obviously that didn't happen, so should we expect once a year at the very least?
 
I'm not holding by breath.

Nobody around here knows anything about why the FAQs stopped or if they'll ever come back. I've only heard hypothosii and speculation.

I hope we get some FAQs someday, though!
 
I'd bet money on no faqs until 9th.
 
Late 2014 or early 2015 will be 9th edition, as everybody knows GW is very busy with 40k to bring in supplements for each army! They might wait for 9th edition and make things clear in the new rulebook and if necessary they bring new FAQ's.. Something i'm upset about is that the Tau were released later then lizardmen and they have a FAQ and lizards not...

Tau came out in april. 4 months before lizardmen.
 
There are no FAQ anymore on the website after the update! What's going to happen?
 
According to an email from GW posted on dakka dakka, GW is planning on reposting the FAQs, but they don't have an estimated date:

Hello,

Thanks for writing in to us! We are aware that the new web store launched without the Errata/ FAQ articles. This is only temporary and these FAQ's will be made available again in the very near future. However, at this time I don’t have a time or date available. Should you have any other questions, then please give us a call at 1-800-394-4263.

Sorry for the confusion, but I hope this helps.

I've heared that EVERY ARMYBOOK/CODEX will get a update in a very near future! So hopefully end of april?
 
The canned response we get from UK Customer Service is a much better. I emailed them too. If it's true it's great!

Currently the FaQ's are not available on the website, as the design team are taking this opportunity to fully update all the FAQ and Errata articles. This is only temporary and these FAQ's will be made available again in the very near future.

Hopefully that's true. I'd love some clarification.
 
Actually none of the new updated armies have their errata/faq so they're probably in the process of being updated :)
 
Well that was anti-climatic... :shifty:

Hopefully it means that the missing books are getting FAQ's soon.
 
JUst looked at the WFB MainRule Book FAQ. It appears to be just a rehosting of Last April's issued FAQ. It hasnt been updated or dated to current.

Disappointing! :jawdrop:
 
Yeah, so much for the messages some people got directly from GW that told them the design team was taking the time to fully update all the FAQs before posting them.
 
Jeez, they just can't win can they?

People were pissed they weren't there, they come back and now we are pissed they weren't completely updated?

If they are updated I expect apologies ;)
