Blog Sleepy corner

Modelers club today. Sadly no final pictures, but I continued on plague artillery and started last two infantry units for epic warpath. All three units are about 70% done. After that, just last unit of plague mules and army is finished.

I might need more models from this faction, as I finally got my hands on rulebook and those two small wheeled vehicles are basically spotters for that missile launcher and that hauler is hacker truck. :D That is the downside of 3D printing roster before rulebook is out. :)

Edit: Yep, 2585 points of Epic Warpath. Definitely one yearly point scratched. :)

During list preparation for this year D-Day, I found out that I completely forgot to base 50 bases of germans last year. :D
So I really had to correct that mistake when I had them out of storage.

How the time flies :)
When I started painting in the office all those (5) years back, I made myself quick paint bottle rack.
It held for 13 months of everyday use.

Thank you, it was second thing I designed in new job during lunchbreaks (after phone holder) in new software, so I did something for myself while practicing for work. :D

Kiddo felt hurt and decided to not speak with parents. So I hid a smile and finally did something. Second batch of epic buildings came with print error (printer forgetting to print part of building and then continuing like nothing happened) on one piece, so I dug out milliput and tried to repair damage on destroyed building.

Annual D-Day games, Yay!
We played two games and I was asked to get my germans as there were too many allies.
First game, I played beach landing against US. It was great. Germans got victory points for destroyed units, units stuck at beach and bunkers they held. US got victory points for destroyed units, units that managed to get onto grass surface and bunkers they cleared. It was really balanced until end of round four. Then I did some great hits with mortars, US got really battered on beach by off board artillery and they never really recovered. They even resorted to minor war crimes, when they tried to kill my medic :D
Also, I managed to shoot panzershreck and kill MMG crew with it :D

End result was 16:4 for german forces.

Second game was tougher. It wa against British para and those guys were tough as nails. All veterans like me, so most of time it was matter of who gets caught in the open. It started to go sideways since round one when I didn´t fully get the rules of scenario and one of my units got shot at (and half wiped) when I thought we were just deploying. There were some really great moments, like British force having 4 different units with just minimum crew, barely clinging to life, but victory points were for objectives and fully destroyed units.

In the end, germans lost 6:4 victory points. (But I managed to kill two different guys by panzershreck to the face and steal objective :D :D :D )

There were plenty of great moments and I think everyone had a great time.
