After my shameful double defeat lass week, I had urge to start British force that sits in boxes since last october. So I checked my big box o´Bolt Action and found bunch of german sprues that I must have completely missed previously. I really don´t want to start working on Brits till my Germans are finished (at least infantry), so...

First batch is being worked on. I have about 50 unpainted guys in total.

MESBG project is just about 20 minis to be done, so there should be some time for this "little" german closure.

I was putting tufts on scouts and took pictures of my 1609 points of Isengard, that finished one of my yearly goals.

Great feat of hobby dopamine ;)
Love that you have started this army and that you have such a high pace painting-wise

Side question: I love the army case/box/thing. Where did you get it from? or did you make it your self?

Grrr, !mrahil

I always do this. Start something new and get so excited that I basically push out most other projects to the side. This time it was Death Guards and also Descent. :D

Post about box is here. Basically Ikea TJENA box with PVA glued cardboard inserts and magnetic foil on top. That could have been just metal sheet, but about 10 years back I bought too much of magnetic sheet in bulk and trying to get rid of it ever since. :D

First part of remnants glued. 32 for now.

I am left with:
one unit of 10 with assault rifles
4 afrika korps bodies for which I don´t have weapons (and greandier hands look weird on them)
box of 30 waffen infantry that is somehow already separated into units, but only clipped from sprues.

I think I can add germans to list of possible yearly goals as untill now I dodn´t know I need to build this many of them. :D

edit: those on photo and unit of 10 assault rifles are 555 points, if taken as regular troops.

I got 3 hours in modellers club today! Yay!

52 out of 72 glued and based.

Airbrushed tanks too... Run out of khaki for british tanks. :D

Nice armor!
Thank you :)

There is more where they came from. :) I stopped by our local model shop and bought khaki for modellers club, but before, I managed to airbrush and decal some more. Decal setter is working hard till next visit.

Bolt action 3rd edition preview shown that we can now use multiple MMG, flamertheowers and mortar teams. Well... I dug up my afrika korps ones and I ordered waffen ones on top of that.

Today I took photos of my Tyranids and put the to auction. I just hope anyone bids, since I am selling them as whole. I would like to have some pictures here for remembering all those hours of work, so apologies for wall of pictures. Most of those models are somewhere in this thread already, but these are newly taken and with tufts glued to bases.

Wow! I gotta ask, did you get all those models with the intention on painting them up just to sell? They're quite well done and I'm sure they'd look fantastic on the table :)

I never buy minis with intention to sell. I bought them to paint them for joy and then to keep them in my display cabinet, but since our flat is not that big and I only have one display cabinet with 4 shelves, I really have to prioritize. I would hate to Throw them into some box for them to rot in the dark. During last year I already sold two of my kill teams to save some space. Didn't make much of a profit, but I at least got back the price of models and some spare change on top.

Right now, Seraphon take two fully crowded shelves and Death guard takes another one and a half.

This way, those tyranids might at least make someone happy.

I came to realisation that I might need those last 20 germans unbuilt for now, since I might need to build some SMGs (that are not my playstyle now) if some of rules change. So, for now, I have all infantry, HQ and teams glued and based. It is 56 single minis and 4 three-men teams.

Plenty of work to do. :D

Today was modellers club day. I primed 36 germans and all four weapon teams, then I painted some details on those bolt action tanks and varnished them, so they are prepared for wash. Rest of time, I worked on my Nurgle knight, because I am seriously considering it for this round of feathered serpent (if I have enough time to finish it).
