Also, I got some parts printed during weekend and colleague brought them to work. I ended up breaking off that tentacle so I can make new one, but it fits nicely. Even minigun is in proper spot in hole! :D

Yay! I have first two guys done. I initially wanted to do just single one to test out paint scheme I had in mind, but all those paints mixed together would be wasted, so I did two at once.

Also, would you recognize which one of them is 3D printed body with original arms attached?

They look great, good colorscheme.
I honestly can't tell which is 3D printed, my guess would be the flare gun

Yeah... that was mean of me, they are both printed :D But in my defense, I realised it after posting.

BUT! I managed to finish 5 today! And three in middle are originals. You can tell them apart by lenses.

Yup... must be that I had originals stuffed in back of drawer for about two weeks and then worked only with those prints... And after priming they shuffled together so I was taking them blindly.
I have to keep up the pace if I want to have at least something done by the end of the month. :D
 
New army box came to preorder today. I scouted Polish shops and when my favourite shop added it even cheaper than other ones, I gave it really deep thoughts and after two minutes I ordered it. :)
I even managed to find a way how to tell better half :D :D

I left aggaros dunes that I normally use for bases in the office, so I mixed something similar that ended up being "too yellow", so I went with it and drybrushed base with vallejo flat yellow twice and drybrushed tufts too. Now they are crossing fields of sulfur on some xeno planet.

The screens can be a pain, but you pulled them off! Very nice detail work on both of them.
 
Yay! I managed to forget my paints at home today. This will be sad shift at work. Well, at least I took picture of all guardsmen I finished so far.

I took inventory of what I have in drawers and I should be able to at least scratchbuild piston for rhino, so I can connect it to dozer blade.

Thanks you :) We´ll se how it turns out in the end. Those screens are nice until you look up close, but that should not be an issue since they probably won´t see table till next edition anyway. :D
 
Okay, this was one hell of a productive day. System shutdown at work, so we were able to work for about 3 hours total... Rest is, as they say, history...

I have one blight hauler physically, second orderd and I want to 3D print third one, so I decided to assemble it to measure size. When it was assembled in the morning, I said heck with it and started painting...

First little bugger is done. I still wait for vallejo white pummice to arrive as I plan to use it for whole army.

It was so easy to paint, real relax.

I wanted to do second unit since january, but I was out of 50mm bases and then colleague was out of resin, so I postponed it again and again. Now it is a time. :)
