So...this seems lie a really awesome item to take on a Life Slann. What are your guys thoughts on taking one with a life Slann over Cupped Hands?

I have used it in a couple of games. Primarily when I take two slann. One will have cupped hands, while the other is a life slann with the rod. It is really easy to use the rod and regenerate the wounds taken. It works fairly well. However, In games where I only take a single slann, I would prefer to give the slann cupped hands (even with life). I have been known to fail a throne of vines roll once or twice (much more than that...).

Anyway, what I usually do is take a lvl1 skink priest with the rod and the amulet that grants 4+ vs the first wound. I do not care if this priest dies, after all, it is his job. I have been taking this item for the past 8 months and I have only lost the priest a handful of times.

i tried it 2 times one time it worked fine 3-4 dice 2 wounds and the other is why i stopped using it i got 3 wounds wardsaved none and got 1 power dice and when i play with a life slann i think it is better to have a scroll

I used it in a solo life slann build and it was pretty good. On a turn where you only roll 4 or 5 dice you can have a really wicked magic phase with your opponent only having 2 or 3 dice to your 7 or 8.

Ya...I'm thinking now of actually just using the Feedback Scroll + Banehead combo. I think it's better for what it does. Since I have life and don't need cupped hands that much.. >_>
