well, only units with the keyword skinks, at least...

Coalesced, thunderlizard

Leaders:
Stegadon Chief (305) general (trait prime warbeast); artefact: incandescent rectrices
Oracle on Troglodon (270) artefact: Fusil of conflagration
Skink Starpriest (130)
Skink priest (80) prayer: heal

Behemoths:
Bastiladon (solar engine) (250)
Bastiladon (ark of sotek) (165)

Battlelines
Stegadon (265)
Stegadon (265)
10 x Skinks (75)
10 x Skinks (75)

Other
5 x Chama skinks (115)

tot: 1995

Battalions
Warlord: trog, priest, starpriest, skinks
Linebreakers: stegadon chief, bastiladons.
Hunters (stegadons, chama)

6 dinosaurs for target saturation
the oracle on Trog will work as mini-slann
laserdon will work as shooting support, firing twice buffed and healed by the priest
chef and steggies will do the melee work (regular stegs with skystreak bow, chief with sunfire)
the sotek basti will throw itself in the enemy's line
the skinks will screen and the chama skinks will give me that minimal deep strike, to force my oppo to don't left unguarded obj.

(i was pondering about a third steg instead of the melee basti and chama skinks, but not only i like the idea of the popping chama skinks, but the 2nd basti unlocks the linebreaker battalion)

what do you think?

So something super interesting about the melee basti is that he can "screen" in melee by preventing pileins and facing against the stuff you care more about (your chief and stegs). Personally, i'd run the basti and the chamos, mostly because i'm just super intrigued by melee bastis at the moment. 165 points is kind of insanely cheap even if it does do dick all for damage.

I think any list without a slann is going to suffer a bit, but I like it dude.

Small thing, personally i'm just more of a fan of cloak of feathers on your chief. I'd also put a skink unit into hunters over the chamos only to prevent mawkrusha's from obliterating your screen with their stomp and then being able to pile in to stuff behind them.

I like the trog as a mini slann, the list is probably just better with an engine. I imagine you'll be fine without making that change in most matchups, i just love the engine haha. Getting that mortal wound explosion while its in melee is so tasty.

yeah i agree on putting a skink unit into Hunters. A change that will be made.
I too was pondering about the cloack but if i'm lucky enogh to roll 4+... that alone could be almost game changing.
Before going melee basti i was tempted to insert the EotG, but without a Slann i would only roll 2 dices and that kinda undermines it.

Definitely fair on the eotg, i still like it for just the heal but its definitely a personal preference thing.

Also agreed on the retricies, i'm just always more of a fan of the guaranteed impact vs what if. Also i like sending flying stegadons over screens ;)

the funny thing is that usually i'm all for the guaranteed effect. It's just that the rectrices are SO tempting, as it's a 50% with a huge impact.

I am a fan of flying stegadons, but with redeploy a smart opponent can reposition the screen to leave no room for landing so...

probably i will test the list tomorrow!

Love to hear how it goes!

I have been a big fan of the stegadon helm over the cloak on my chief in some practice games. seeing how it does at an RTT soon

I've managed to play a game against Ogor Mawtribes.
Frostlord on Stonehorn (with rune-token - hero phase, once per battle reroll all saves, to hit and to wound)
Stonehorn
2+2+4 mournfangs
8 Ironguts

this list was victorious against Teclis.

I've managed to score a major Victory, so my skinks army went pretty good.
