8th Ed. Skink Priest question

In lower point games what is the better tactic for fielding him, running solo, placing in a skrox unit or a saurus unit? I read somewhere that placing him on the edge of a saurus unit can have its advantages but i'm not sure.

Also whats better in general, the burning blade or the piranha blade?

Remember that the skink can move 12" inches a turn and still cast spells. If your opponent does not have shooting or magic missiles he doesn't ever need to be in a unit. Otherwise the priest can use his 12" move to be out of Line of Sight or in an of your units that you don't expect to be in combat in the next turn.

The Burning Blade is much better. Regeneration can be quite common in some communities.

4+ look out sir vs a 2+ whether he is near or in the unit. I'd probably throw him in with 10 skink skirmishers myself. super mobile and harder to hit w/ missile fire
