Ofcourse it's best to avoid proxying, as you've shown in your example. But the OP asked which Priest model he should get. The answer should be: whichever one he likes best. Not "if he isn't going to use a Cloak, don't buy the one that is wearing a cloak because you'll be straining your opponents concentration which isn't gentlemanly." That model is still a correct representation of "a skink priest".

Is there a way to report posts? I checked the FAQ for the forum and it said there would be a button, but I don't see a button. I wanted to report the one that instructed me to consume some male anatomy. In the absence of that, I went on the offensive. It's a shame that some others were unable to see that my defense against one particular person was not meant as my normal mode of posting (despite pointing out otherwise).

Yeah well, I tend to get annoyed when people call me a "lesser person". Surprised?

I understand that when someone starts bashing you the strongest instinct is to go on the defensive, I also recognise that people have bad days and that sometimes comes out in forum replies. But in both instances it's always worth remembering there is a universal rule the covers all situations and that rule is 'don't feed the trolls'. And before anyone decides to get all offended at the troll comment, there is a net-troll inside each of us trying to get out, the angrier your posts get the more you feed your inner troll.

Well I've had some time away, and it seems that in my absence folks are out to maul each other through the Internet, a pity really!

We start with a nice, well mannered and honest post, a question from somebody just coming to the hobby and wants help.

The ball gets rolling, its helpful at first.....

Pride steps in, a bit of ego, then anger, the original poster is forgotten, his question no longer relevant. Who actually cares how HE is feeling, when, after all, somebody else on the Internet does has a perceived slight from against somebody else. Yeah forget the original poster, your prides more important than HIM!

If you have a grievance with another user, show a little respect for the rest of the community and do it through PM or a mod, please dont have it devolve into a petty slanging match on the forum, ESPECIALLY in another users topic!

I suggest that this topic is locked, as I personally feel that it has got too much, and does not promote the spirit of the forum any more!

All involved. That sort of bickering is not going to take over the forum. I have never had to ban any member of the forum. I will if I have to. Be respectful of others when you read/respond to a post. If you have an issue, please contact me via personal message I we will handle it.
