looking good some excellent work

as for painting a couple of shortcuts are give it a nice wash in something like army painter medium tone it will sink into all the scales on the carnosaur
and give depth to the detail

and I have always been a fan of dry brushing a light bone colour

So I know lots of folks here aren't fans of SCE, but I was given an old box of liberators and so I tried to fix them up and make them better. While I'm hoping GW doesn't get any ideas, I also think they bring some much needed bulk to my fledgeling warband! Hope y'all enjoy!

Is left-handed sword something that comes with the bits or were you able to convert it from right hand sword somehow?

You could, but they are on 40mm bases, so probably better to run them using SCE warscrolls (with better fluff of course)

I kitbashed it, warrior kits have far more drum bits than needed (in WHFB or AOS tbh) and the arm holding the mallet is the left one, so I just grabbed the hand from that, and the sword from a spare right arm bit.

Starting 2020 off with one of my favorite conversion projects yet. That's right, the gorgeous new Blood Bowl sculpts have been turned into a fierce cohort of warriors:

They're pretty big (standing taller than my 5e metal Kroxigor), so I put them on 40mm bases. Which unfortunately means I don't have good rules to use them with. C'mon battletome!

I also can't decide what to do for the shield on one of them. I'll post a poll, but here are the options:

Option A) Blood Bowl Marker:


Option B) Basti Headplate:

For the shield I voted Basti headplate, because it comes closest to an actual saurusshield, though I dig the markershield quite a lot.

As regards to your poll,

At first, when I saw the coin I was definitely voting for this one. The intricate detail is too cool to pass up!
...
BUT
then I saw how well the bastilidon head plate fits with the model, makes the shield look much more dynamic and appears to actually be apart of the model, rather than something out of place, like the coin.
So I voted the bastilidon head plate. GL

Both are cool.
The BB marker makes him look more civilized and the Basti plate makes him look more feral.

Those are some dynamic saurus! Would make a great underworlds warband!

I especially like the double-ax dude.

I personally like the more Mesoamerican-shield than the scale one, both look good though!

the calendar shield is perfect, if I'm definitely stealing that idea to make a honor guard for kroq-gar on foot

since you've got the blood bowl kit, may I ask you if you've got the terradons kit too?
I need to find a size comparison between the baby slann token and one of the terradons' rock
for reasons totally unrelated to the mandalorian I swear...

The Slann token is about twice the height of the terradon rock if you include the headdress, and of nearly identical width if you ignore the outstretched arms.The rock has about twice the depth of the Slann token.
