Sign up for AoD IV: In the blood littered halls of Skitters Tailturnedly.
I noticed the previous Arena of Death installments on this forum, and would really love to see something like it again! Hence, i plan to do one.
This is a signup, equipment for your heroes/lords should be sent to me per PM race/subrace combination should be written in this post, as well as the name of your character.
Rules are as follows :
1. The character and his upgrades/magic gear must come to 250 points. (A point or two over is fine).
2. Magic and shooting are banned, period. No questions. No exceptions.
3. It is assumed that the characters will start in base to base contact and begin the battle from there. (i. e., attack in Initiative order)
4. Assassins are allowed as a character choice.
5. All mounts with more than one wound are banned. Additionally, the Juggernaut and War Litter are banned.
6. No special characters allowed.
7. At the moment, Van Horstmann's Speculum is banned.
8. CR and Fear/terror tests are used - models can flee and attempt to pursue as normal, they are in fact forced to do so - if a unit does not rally the next round it will as normal continue to flee, and the pursuing model will follow. For this purpose the Arena is assumed to be 40" in diameter.
9. If a model leaves the arena, the angry crowd med remorselessly kill the poor cretin with whatever they have in hands, or the pursuer will have caught up to the trapped character at the edge of the arena. The specifics are up to the gamemaster.
Please provide a picture per PM of your character, preferably a painted model but anything will do.
I'd love to give hero lvl characters a better chance at competing in the AoD, sadly i cannot see how i should do this, giving them mount access might do something (terradons, rippers and the likes) but might be too much with th mounts some races can take... and giving them wounds and 100 pts magic allowance would end up with a pt increase i don't want to set myself.
Please post your opinions on whether or not to allow Hero mounts with more than 1 wound which counts as nothing larger than monstrous cavalry.
