Tutorial Seraphon Overview (updated to AoS 3.0)

Good idea, but I don’t think it would work, it says “roll a number of dice equal to the number of models”, not “roll a number of dice equal to the attacks characteristic of this weapon for each model in the enemy unit” so I don’t think it would work :/
The attack characteristic is "1". And each attack consists of "roll a number of dice equal to the number of models". So imho, it works :p

Okay! I got questions.

I dont know if I understand summoning good. I can reduce number of spellcasts by one for each slan and Oracle and recive D3 ccp. Does IT mean that if i have3 slanns and i drope casts for each i recive 3 D3 ccp?

we don't know there are currently 3 theories
1. you can only use 1 spell ever making a max of 3d3
2 you can use 1 from each slann/oricle making a max of 8d3
3 you can burn all spells and its just poorly worded
im waiting for the FaQ

I think it is one spell for each slann and Oracle becouse Its mentioned.
If there were option to burn all spells for each slann and Oracle it would be to OP. Dread saurian turn 1?!

If it was only one for general. They would write sth like "before your general attempt to cast any spell.."

But that magic Word "each"...

If it was 3d3 ccp turn it could take 2 turns for skinks in worst scenario, SO 99% of Players would not takę starborne.

The only way we will know will be designera comentary to battletome...

BTW anyone knows when will it be?

right it's badly worded i hope its all spells becouse i would like summoning to do something but your right a dread turn 2 would be a bad thing

A Dread Turn two is only if your building specifically for that, and leaves you with plenty of cuts in your army.
Overall, if it's the once per unit thing, summoning is very dead. If it's allowed to be multiple spells, it becomes a great utility toolbox trait that means the costs are appropriate for an army building normally.

but it would only be a problem until your first turn you could bring on 70 skinks turn 1 with a full slann list you could even keep them all in the sky to not get sniped. i want it to be all spells but there are to many problems for it to be that

- Pendulum: since we can control it's movement, dump it on an objective, swing it back and forth, deny your opponent the objective (or acces to another vital area).

It's not possible, I've just noticed that the pendulum moves only in one direction, cannot move back and forth

EDIT: I've also noticed a difference in the wording of the bound version of Cogs . Updated the description.

Still have to keep a unit on the table for each in the sky. Also have to keep at least 1 Slann on the board. You're also going to have at least 6-12 drops, meaning you're less likely to take the first turn to do so.

It has merit to be able to summon that many Skinks, but you're also building weaknesses into your list that can be exploited.
Savvy opponents will see this, and kill as many Slann as possible, since Dracothian Tail units NEED a Slann to drop down.

@Erta Wanderer I went and put a list together to see what it might look like.

Kroak
5x Slann Starpriest

20 Skinks w/ Blowpipes and Shield
20 Skinks w/ Blowpipes and Shield
20 Skinks w/ Blowpipes and Shield

1980/2000

That's going to be a lot of Skinks.
mmm i like it and unlike most i could actually run it i would drop 10 skinks for geminids

HELP NEEDED

I've got the italian version of the battletome, but i want to cite properly the english terms in the tutorial.
Could someone pm me the pictures of the slann & skinks spells, and the magical artefacts available to slann, saurus and skinks?
that would be of great help, thanks. :)

That'd require you to field an entire army of slann, even if you can sacrifice all spells. Which
1) Would be a terrible army
2) takes up too many leader slots
3) doesn't bring enough battleline
4) If you get alpha-striked and a slann or two die you won't be able to do it anymore.
5) It has the most obvious counter-strategy ever and anyone halfway capable will abuse the flaws in your list.

So meh, don't think that'd be terribly OP :P

I thought that was only the gravetide that went in one direction. THought the pendulum could go back and forth but just couldn't turn.
