Heroes:
Slann Starmaster with Phoenix Stone
Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur with Obstinate Blade
Skink Priest with Priestly Trappings
Battleline:
10 Saurus Guard
10 Saurus Guard
10 Skinks
10 Skinks
10 Skinks
(Boltspitters on all of them)
Behemoth:
1 Bastiladon with space laser.
Basically I'd like some opinions on this list. I participated in a club tournament last week and did surprisingly well considering that I've never played a full scale AoS fight before that (won 1/3 matches, placed 7/14), but I noticed my list had some flaws (it was saurus heavy, and while not terrible, they seemed kind of weak- shame, given how much effort I put into painting my 40+ spear sauruses).
My saurus guard performed amazingly well. Combined with their sworn guardian rule and the priest's blessing, they rarely took casualties, while dishing out plenty of hurt in return. The oldblood also kicked ass, particularly the carnosaur.
So my thought here is: 2 saurus guard units to make for a powerful centre. My carnosaur to be deployed on a flank, and the bastiladon to go on a flank or in the centre, depending on where he's the most useful. Skinks to run around harassing units and generally be annoying. The slann to keep my saurus guard even more useful. It's a fairly straightforward list, but I wonder if it isn't too expensive to field an oldblood on carnosaur AND a slann at once. Thoughts?
