Scum and Villainy - The Town!

Yzan was hitch hiking down a lonely road. He asked were the man he was travelling with were going.
I'm going to a nearby town to visit my daughter, he said.
Ok, Yzan answered, then can I stay with you until you are ready to move out of the town again?
Sure, the man answered, feel at home, but stay away from my daughter! he said with a smirk on his face.
 
"Ahh, a drink'd be more'n welcome sir!" Grassdale pulls at his collar revealing the bruising from his near death experience.

"My killer must've underestimated the thickness of my skin, I awoke to find the company gone and one of our companions knifed. I didn't like my chances of catching up with you lot so I made my way back..."

Noting Hellbreaker, Darian chuckles, "Aye friend, thet be us, more guts and glory then good sense!"

Darian begins to launch into a tale of his return through the dark woods but stops and asks Sir Zantos speculatively "So did you find the treasure?"
 
Wow, aren't we just a bunch of walking corpses?

By the way, i found this knife a week ago, near a corpse, anyone know who that was?
 
Eternity Warden, the homonculus servant of the great wizard Von Albatross found out just this morning that he had become the homunculus former servant of the deceased wizard Von Albatross. With no purpose left in life, he traveled to the nearest tavern in search of one.

Upon entering the smoky interior of the establishment, Warden coughed throatily and took a seat in the far corner of the room.
 
"Well i'm just glad your alive my friend. Alas we found no treasure, just rumours and death!"

Finding Darian's tales as enthralling as before, Sir Zantos beckons him to follow

"Lets go get those drinks then"

I'm going to start dishing out rolls, and I expect Day 2 to begin saturday my time. No player will be killed to start with. For anyone else considering joining, last chance! You can still sign up before saturday.

novaotomato turns towards the man who spoke to him, "oh yes eggs, remarkable things eggs they have an almost unlimited potential in uses aside from eating and they are very cheap as well which makes them such a versatile thing, I personally don't like eating them but did you know that the yolk of an egg, when mixed with the appropriate chemical compounds can become an incendiary that won't be extinguished with water." the eccentric engineer speaks for hours on end of the varied and obscure uses of eggs until at one point he stops to catch his breath. Taking out a piece of parchment from his bag and a bit of charcoal he begins to sketch a few diagrams and eventually loses himself in his work.
 
The Hunted tries to talk to novatomato, but he fails. The rather eccentric man appears to lose himself in his own sentences. Rather strange.
Then I realize what a wonderfull clear moment this is....

*BANG*

The stool The Hunted was sitting on falls over, a loud bang is heard across the bar. Various random items fly
and roll their way into the tavern.
"Stupid stool" he mumbles, as he tries to get back onto his feet.
After some struggling, he's on his feet. Desperate for his next alcoholic beverage...

Warden tentatively sips the brew served to him by the bartender and chokes in disgust.

"This is supposed to be the good stuff?" he shouts, "I've drunk better from the rain barrel! Get me something that will soothe my throat, something better than this piss!"

Apologies, I have been a bit slow getting the game into full pace, busy few days. Hopefull tomorrow I will have a bit of time spare to iron out a few details and get it swinging properly.

Some chose to group in the tavern, others chose to drown their sorrows, others still chose to risk walking the streets at night. Everyone reacted to the troubles in the town differently, and without too much worry as yet, however, it was all about to change. As the sun rose in the eastern sky in a deathly still morning, several mutilated human corpses were found around the outskirts of town. All through the night, howling had been heard in the distance. One corpse was so bad it was unrecognisable, the others were all well known folk of the town.

Day 2 begins in the town square as angry and scared people gather to discuss the night before and what can be done about it.
 
After a good night drinking the raised voices outside the tavern did nothing to help the hangover Sir Zantos was feeling.

After a moment of wallowing and head cradling, he got up, dressed and staggered out into the town square to see what was up.
 
Novatomato was one of the first awake that morning, the eccentric fellow always arose and applied himself to his calisthenics and this morning was no different until someone mentioned the corpses and the troubles. Grabbing his coat he went out to the town square and, seeing the bodies, began talking
"would you look at that, his spleen has been dragged a few feet from his body, I wouldn't be surprised if his liver had been eaten you know a lot of animals will do that? Yessir they'll make the kill then eat only the really tender bits, some bears will even catch fish and eat the brains only, my hypothesis is that the specific body part are more full of nutrients than others and the animals subconciously are aware of it. Oh yes there is a lot of things we can learn from nature" When the villager he had been talking to told him to "Shut it" he politely kept quite for a while, then took out a folded piece of parchment and some charcoal sticks and began drawing sketches.
One innocuous sketch in the corner of the page was of a most diabolical looking device.
 
As Yzan woke up in the old man's daughters house he heard commotion outside.
Oh, what now? he thought.
He got dressed and went outside, just to see a large crowd gathering and a low, horrified voices was emitting from them.
He listened to what they said, then he heard what a strange engineer was saying, and was disgusted with what he heard.
Some people have no manners, Yzan thought.
Then he walked closer into the group to see the horrific scene.
Wow, those have been shredded totally, not much to see here except madness.
Yzan went back into the crowd so see if he could make out some more of what was said.
 
The Hunted woke up on the floor, next to his bed. He had absolutely no idea how he got there, but he was sure that he didn't get here by himself. It didn't matter, al he needed now was a drink.
He pulled out some liquor from his jacket, and walked outside for some fresh air.

It was then that he heard the commotion, and walked towards the large group. He immedeatly lost all
thirst he had...

The Hunted simply stood there, flabbergasted, he couldn't say a word.

Sitting on the front stair of the tavern, Darian absently rubs at a smudge on his repeater rifle whilst watching the newcomers out the corner of his eye... "Not again..." he mutters as he checks the pan for any sign of damp getting into his powder, "I'm sure as hell going to take a couple of the buggers with me this time about..."
 
After examining the ruined corpses, Eternity Warden wonders to himself if this was really the wisest place to look for work.
