The salamander ranged shooty attack is coming out of their mouth, but is it a breath weapon?

In close combat, would it qualify for the 2d6 auto hits that a dragon or hydra would get, for instance?

Thanks!

In the lizardmen FAQ's it states that the salamanders attack is not treated as a breath weapon.
(see http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1310257a_FAQ_Lizardmen_2010_v11.pdf)

It basicly works like the Skaven warp fire thrower, and the dwarven flame cannon, and not like a dragon or hydra (not a breath attack).

It would not get those as it is considered a shooting attack, not a breath weapon (per the FAQ). That is why we can fire it every round.
