Looks like a bit of Votann machinery to me. That's purely a guess though.

Hmmm... it looks too thin and spindly to be a skink tail. A staff of some sorts seems more likely.

Maybe it's actually a forked tongue? Which could be a number of things, for either AoS or 40K; Demon/Chaos, Reptilian beast, Lizardmen/Seraphon, etc...
