Hi All,
Well, the original name of this topic wasn't getting me anywhere, so I had to spice it up to see if having a less informative name worked any better!
I've been out of the loop a bit with my main group of gaming buddies (I live with this terrible affliction called W.O.R.K. perhaps you've heard of it?) and Im looking at shelving my old list and starting afresh with these scaly beauties, heres what Im thinking of taking.....
NOTE LIST WAS EDITED 13/8/09
- Slann (aka Nuka Toad)
Focus of Mystery, Focused Rumination, BSB
2 x Power stones, Cupped Hands, Warbanner
- Skink Priest (aka "the caddy")
Lvl. 2
Dispel Scroll, Diadem of Power
- Scar Vet. (aka Mr Muscle)
L. armour, Shield, Cold One
Scimitar of the +2 Attack
- Scar Vet. (aka Mr Grissle)
L. armour, Cold One
Maiming Shield, Sword of the +1 Attack
CORE
- 16 x Saurus (aka Wall of Muscle)
Spears, Standard, musician
- 16 x Saurus (aka Wall of Grissle)
Spears, Standard, musician
- 10 x Skink cohort (aka Fleecy pants)
- 10 x Skink cohort (aka the mutton patrol)
- 10 x Skink Skirmishers (aka the Janitors)
- 10 x Skink Skirmishers (aka the Cleanup Patrol)
- 16 x Templeguard (aka "the Nuke Bunker")
Standard
- 4 x Terradons (aka Troubleshooter 1)
- 4 x Terradons (aka Troubleshooter 2)
- 1 x Salamander
extra handler
- 1 x Salamander
extra handler
total points: 2263
total PD: 6 - 8 diadem permitting
total DD: 5 - 7 diadem permitting
So I've built the army to essentially grind enemies down, it all revolves around the 3 blocks of saurus/ TG with the rest to soften opponents up, redirect, troubleshoot, or (if the occasion happens to come up just right) flank. The Scar vets are there more as "unit upgrades" than real heroes to help deal with armour.
Can people please make suggestions (whether tweaks or tactical advice) as I'm pretty rusty and my mates are regular tourney goers so I'll be in for a tough fight!
PS Nuka Toad traditionally uses either Death or Light and uses powerstones for suprise castings of Drain Life and Cleansing Flare.
