This blog is a progress blog relating to my current project. My end goal is to paint every single unit within my seraphon army as close to a real desert reptile, or inspired by one!

This is one of my near-completed models, I am doing them in batches of 4 identical models. This guy here is one of the first models I've painted that I have been really proud of as it turned out better than I could have imagined! I am going for a bone type of thing on the shields and they've been through a lot of iterations, however I think I have settled on wraithbone undercoat, skeleton horde, a mid tone of 1:1 screaming skull:Zandri Dust and highlighting with pallid wytch flesh.

I really love the earth tones, you dont see earth tones very often, been thinking of doing more earth tones myself and this has convinced me. Really loving the progress, will be awesome seeing the rest of them!

Following. Great scheme.

The underlying skin tone may have a slightly more pink hue than the real life example, but it's great nonetheless
