AoS PTG for 4th edition

I guys,

its been a while since I’ve lurked the area!!

A local group will launch a PtG campaign with the release of 4th edition!!! Finally going to play AOS (only after collecting from back in 2019 if not earlier lol)

phase one start at 600 points
Phase two jump to 1000 points
Phase three up to 2000 points

i have access to pretty much everything

realizing that points and warscroll will change I know the list can change drastically …. That aside what would be a descent list to start with ?!?

So looking at the options I have …. Looking at boosting the slann ward save we got 2 options saurus guards and the astrolith bearer!!

they both give the 5+ ward to the slann now not sure how good and useful the bearer abilities are if it’s better then the extra health the guard would bring along plus they already have a 3+ save so 3+ 5+ means they should stick around for a while that been said they don’t take the slann wounds anymore….


Is the bearer worth the extra 40 points for what it does?
