ill try add my opinion to this.

so the model generates another attack, it doesnt specify what kind of attack it is, basically i think it will mean that for supporting attacks that hit on a 6 the models makes an additional supporting attack

Sorry just reading through these posts and was shocked that people debate this. RAW shows PF gets supporting attacks. Step 1: roll to hit, supporting ranks get 1 attack. Completed. Step 2: Whenever a model with this special rule rolls a 6 to hit in close combat, it immediately makes another attack. Last I checked supporting ranks making to hit rolls count as close combat. There is no contradiction. No need to invoke AB > BRB. If you feel differently then AB does trump BRB anyways. But the fact is that they made 1 supporting attack as limited, rolled a 6, and "immediately makes another attack." Not gains another attack. Not gets one. Immediately makes one. Makes, creates, invents, pulls out of their tails, or finds it in a pile of dark clothes washed by bleach, I don't care. It's not a supporting attack anymore plain and simple.

I know we have good points for both the interpretations, but IMO Vetock didn't mean to slow the game forcing players to roll the attacks of the first rank first and then the attacks from the rest of the unit (or using dice with a different colour and so on). Just my 2 cents ;)

Must... resist... the... urge... to... debate...
