So does that mean that I would inherit the Doctor's intellect and regeneration ability when I choose the Tardis?

Nope.
You are able to enter the Tardis even if you are not a time Lord ( i know friends of the doctor enter it even without his presence)
But afaik you cannot enter or even see the Platform to hogwarts if you are a muggle.

And given that the door shows it, i am qualified

I actually find those guys you forget about the second you stop looking at them more eerie The Silence or Silent....

Besides, Hogwarts is not without dangers. Plus with the Tardis I could go anywhere or anytime.

Personally I think the Vashta Nerada take the cake. You'll never look at shadows the same way again... Weeping Angels are pretty creepy as well through

I don't remember them. Or maybe I missed those episodes (I haven't watched for quite some time).

The issue with the Silence is that you can't use your mind to combat them. In the case of all the other enemies you can at least attempt to think of a counter strategy. That makes them less threatening in my eyes.

The Weeping Angels while creepy (and great villains/threats) have a very major weakness. This gives you not only a fighting chance but a substantial advantage. Also, even if they get you, they don't actually kill you.

Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead were their episodes. "Hey, who turned out the lights?"
