My mother in law would eat it the same way.
I swear, whenever we do BBQ I ask myself: "why does she eat the coal?" until I realize it is her meat. Then I ask myself: "Why doesn't she eat the coal" because there is no visible difference between the coal and what she is eating.

Of course there is a difference, coal leaves a bitter taste in the mouth where as cremated bacon is salty and crunchy, think pork scratchings :D
 
I went with 4 as well, chewy but with some crisp to it. Too much of a carnivore to refuse any of it if presented to me though.
 
Actually, the only vote for 2 is mine.
Now I'm curious... none of you would like to eat this, with that delicious loose fat that saturates the bread...?

because in Italy it's considered an exquisiteness!

Bacon has to be crispy. #4 all the way. #2 is way too under-cooked for my liking.

Oh I definitely would, I do eat those occasionally and enjoy doing so.
I just prefer the more crispy bacon which is why I voted 4. :)
 
I went with 5. Perfect blend of bacon taste and crunch
