Bonus Question: What is your favourite movie that each of them has played in? (one movie per guy)

  • Bruce Lee: Enter the Dragon
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger: Terminator 2 - Judgement Day
  • Sylvester Stallone: Rocky II
  • Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson: Faster

It’s got to be the Terminator himself! :droid:

But I would have to agree on Judgement Day. While all of the Terminator films so far have been great in my view, as think 2 was probably the best.

I have also seen Predator and some other less well-known Arnie films as well though - The 6th Day is about an ordinary family man in a future Earth who starts to find he and others are being replaced with clones, while The Last Stand stars Arnie as a sheriff in a small Arizona town who is the only one that can stop the leader of a criminal drug gang from escaping into Mexico.

I haven’t seen any Bruce Lee or Sylvester Stallone films but the only Dwayne Johnson film I’ve seen is the Scorpion King so I’ll have to say that as my favourite The Rock film.

I don't know about the others, but at least Schwarzenegger is fairly intelligent I think, which might be a good trait to have as a trainer.
As for training the body... not sure he is the best there. He was certainly not weak, but I think others might have trained their bodies better, like, not for looks but for effectiveness.

As for the movies:
- Bruce Lee..... Cannot remember the title. I am not a huge fan.
- Schwarzenegger.... the 6th Day probably. Or Terminator 2.
- Stallone.... not a fan. But I liked him in Demolition Men and also in Oscar.
- Dwayne Johnson.... The Scorpion King.

As for mentoring, I think Bruce Lee and Arnold Swarzenegger were the only two that have skill sets to teach. The Rock is awesome and he's the one I'd like to drink a beer with the most, he radiates charisma, but he got his start in pro-wrestling, a skill set I do not wish to learn. I think Bruce Lee would be the best instructor of martial arts or physical fitness.

I thought about this one a long time. So I went with Dwayne Johnson because he seems like a great person.

Bruce Lee was a wonderful man and I grew up on his films and in the Wing Chun community. I have even been fortunate enough to meet and train with Francis Fong & the late Master Heimberger. One of my most treasured memories was getting to attend a demonstration by Ip Ching. He broke the arm off the wooden dummy and then was humble enough to blame the dummy instead of his Kung Fu.

Bonus:
  • Bruce Lee: Fist of Fury
  • Arnold Schwarzenegger: Jingle All The Way
  • Sylvester Stallone: The Expendables
  • Dwayne Johnson: Moana

I haven’t seen any Bruce Lee or Sylvester Stallone films
How is this possible? Bruce Lee I can see, but how have you never seen a Stallone film?

but the only Dwayne Johnson film I’ve seen is the Scorpion King
Also surprising.

Rambo first blood
That's a really good one... almost chose this one myself.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Jingle All The Way
For real?

Well as far as I can see most of Stallone’s films are about boxing or similar and boxing movies just aren’t my cup of tea
Not even Guardians of the Galaxy 2? He’s not a main character but it still counts!

Personally I’m not a huge fan of any of them. I don’t dislike them, but I haven’t really seen any of their films that much. Bruce Lee I’ve never seen, and Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, while I’ve seen one or two films with them in, I don’t think they could be considered ‘proper’ films with them in (I definitely do need to watch some though - I’m not sure I can qualify as a true sci-fi fan without seeing Terminator 2). I’ve seen a bit of Dwayne Johnson’s stuff, but honestly, I don’t get the hype around him. Don’t get me wrong, he’s cool, but I don’t think he’s that cool.

I gotta give it to Arnie, the T800 itself, the man is just so likable and cool and I imagine a great gym buddy. Stalone would have been a close second though, mostly for the badass factor. Sadly I'm too young and haven't really seen any of Bruce Lee's films, and I just don't overly like Dwayne as an actor, he's been cast in way too many movies latley and most of them have been stinkers.
Arnie: Terminator franchise
Stalone: Demolition Man
Lee: N/A
Rock: If I had to pick...... Rampage?

Dwayne Johnson was my vote because not only is he cool but he also plays D&D and loves it. You should check out videos of his campaigns they are epic.

Another thing I noticed is everyone who has met Dwayne Johnson has said he is super friendly and likeable.

Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Lee were all usually nice to their fans and their colleagues in Hollywood usually speak well of working with them (Stallone less so, but he is not a bad person). But Dwayne ALWAYS makes a good impression whereas the others USUALLY make a good impression.

But the question asks who is your mentor, not who is your friend. That's why I chose Bruce Lee.

Some even want the Rock to run for president. At the risk of derailing this thread, All things considered, I would rather the Rock be president than the current occupant, but I wish celebrities didn't run for public office.

I want politicians to run for public office. I don't want an airline pilot filling in my cavity and I don't want a dentist to fly my airplane. I want actors to make movies and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named to stick with builidng hotels and golf courses.
